A fright awakes, covers askew.
Hand thrashes, night light tumbles.
Stumbling toward wall, switch in hand.
With a flick, warm light dawns
Summer heat-burned grass-soil raked.
Earth spread-seeds sown-water poured.
Sun shines-rain falls-growth’s portend
At the quay we wait.
In the eye we sit, calm, tepid, brooding stillness.
In the centre, horizon scanned.
When crests rise, will we be ready?
Show what is or reflect what might be.
When into the looking glass you spy,
is it where you are or where you want to that you see?
Guides appear when eyes are turned elsewhere,
ears hear wisdom when distraction listens elsewhere,
awakening occurs in moments of slumber
CiM has been tweeting for a while now. During that time, part of our online ministry has been to tweet a prayer, thought, reflection, challenge or something in-between. So we got to thinking, perhaps we could offer that as a blog resource for both our family of faith and those just checking us out! Pop in each week as we share the previous week’s UCiM-isms!
