According to UCiM’s Constitution, we understand our role in the following manner: “To gather, maintain and communicate membership information and to identify and provide pastoral care for our congregation.”

The Membership & Pastoral Care Committee hopes to find ways to share – with both the worshipping community and our neighbours – that enhance our lives and encourage us to recognise that we are all God’s Beloved and can rightfully demand that we be respected with dignity and respect. This page highlights some of the resources that have been developed and used to communicate this conviction.

On Feb 25/12, The Pastoral Care Team of the United Church in Meadowood welcomed Barrier-Free Manitoba to explore the role of faith communities in respect to accessibility for all within & beyond their walls. This was an for learning and challenge and it is with great thanks that we present the following resources that arose from our February Gathering! Please take some time to checkout our new Caring Page. We hope it conveys how UCiM, through our Membership & Pastoral Care Committee, offers ministry to our worshipping community (such as our twice per week Meadowood Munchkins gatherings of young families)  and endeavours to walk with our neighbours around such issues as suicide prevention, dementia & the realities of addictions in our lives.
