Deadline for registration is April 10, 2023
Pack your bags and claim your ticket for a thrilling adventure aboard our Noah’s Ark Messy Church!
Climb aboard on Friday, April 14th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. as we unravel one of the MESSIEST stories in the bible…the story of Noah’s Ark!
Everyone on Noah’s ark was rocked by waves and pummeled by rain for over a year. Can you imagine how loud, stinky and messy it must’ve been with all those animals? Through it all, Noah had faith that God would protect them, and hope that life would get better.
Make sure to bring your favourite ANIMAL STUFFY as we board the ark and travel back in time.
Here’s what you can expect:
Interactive Storytelling: We’re going to climb into this story ark in a big way as we re-enact the story of Noah’s Ark!
Paper Plate Ark and Animal Puppets: While traveling on an ark was inconvenient, cramped, smelly, and annoying, don’t forget that it was also dangerous. Not even Noah knew where everyone and all the animals would wind up. But if you’re going to sail on wild seas, who better to trust than the one who made them? Create your own ark and some animal puppets that you can use to tell the story!
Rainbow Craft: Let’s think about what it takes to operate a safe ship today. You need life jackets, a radio, a compass, and lifeboats, for starters. Do you think Noah and his crew had any of that? No! But what did they have? That’s right: they had God, who sent a rainbow as a promise never to flood the earth again. Build your own rainbow and hang it as a reminder of God’s promise!
Tissue Paper Artsy Science: The story of Noah’s ark is full of challenges and trials before God restores peace and stills the waters. At many points, Noah could’ve given up hope and abandoned ship, but he didn’t. What happens when you spray tissue paper with water on paper? You’ll have to join us to find out!
Noah’s Science Experiments – Rainclouds and Rainbows in a Jar: Even if you were safe and warm in your house, you might get really frazzled after just a week of really rainy days, and no letup. So imagine Noah, trying to keep his spirits up, seeking out God, and encouraging everyone around him—all while steering this enormous ship through a terrible storm. Learn about rainclouds through a science experiment using shaving cream and food coloring! In another mesmerizing experiment, discover how to create a layered rainbow in a jar!
Whacky Animal Bean Bag Game: God could’ve forgotten about some of the animals, but he included them all. That sounds like God, doesn’t it? He cares for the least of his creatures, just as Jesus told people to care for the least among them, many centuries later. Help Noah get the animals into the ark with this fun Animal Bean Bag Game!
Enjoy a meal of Quesadillas, Veggies, Rainbow Ice Cream and Animal Crackers!
