Messy Church is going WILD! Grab your lawn chair and marshmallow sticks as we head outside for a Messy Church Goes Wild theme of “Caring for the Earth”!
Let’s get our hands dirty on Friday, May 26th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. as we celebrate God’s creation and discover how we can take care of it!
Here’s what you can expect:
Peanut Butter Bird Feeder: What happens when you spread peanut butter on a toilet paper roll and roll it in birdseed? You make a yummy snack for our feathery friends!
Planting Purple Beans: God made plants of many colors, sizes, and shapes. We’ll plant Purple Beans that you can care for at home!
Coffee Filter Earth: God made more things than we can ever imagine! From trees to stars to water to YOU—God created everything! We’ll make our own versions of earth with a little water, food coloring and coffee filters!
Cardboard Birds & Fish: We’ll learn about creation and how God made our big, beautiful world by creating birds and fish with cardboard and string!
Paint a Picture of Creation: What does creation look like to you? Maybe it’s an ocean teeming with aquatic animals, or a jungle with exotic animals, or a forest full of trees! Paint a picture of how you see creation, and reflect on how we can care for it.
Water our Trees: Trees give us shade, fruit and shelter. Let’s care for them by watering our trees!
Outdoor Picnic Games & Giant Parachute: We’ll play some fun outdoor picnic games, and end by playing with our giant parachute!
Campfire Food: We’ll roast hotdogs and marshmallows over a campfire! We’ll also nibble on some tasty veggies! (**Veggie dogs will also be provided.)
Worms in Dirt Dessert: Yes…you read that right! Trust me…you’ll love it!!!
Be sure to bring a lawn chair, and any extra marshmallow sticks would be greatly appreciated.
