Programs for Kids

Programs for Children

Be assured, our programming for children includes staff and volunteer leaders who have been vetted and approved. For health and safety reasons we require that each child be registered for any of these programs.

The Lamb's Corner

The Lamb’s Corner, for children aged 0-3 — find us in the MacAskill Room on Sundays. We offer a comfortable place for children to play with toys and books, while their parents are able to see and hear the worship service. We are delighted to add these children to our Cradle Roll.

Childrens Church

Children’s Church, for children aged 4-10 — another quality program for children. Led by one of our team members, the children leave the sanctuary midway through the worship service. Their  supervised time of games, songs and stories takes place in the auditorium.

Messy Church

Messy Church is not just for kids! The entire church family is welcome to participate monthly in a Friday evening of fun, faith and food. Each month, we explore a new story in an especially Messy Way with crafts, science activities, games and interactive worship. Even the meal fits the theme!

CAMP MEADOWOOD

Held every August for kids aged 4-10, Camp Meadowood is an awesome full day summer camp.  Camp offers opportunities to connect with other kids while learning about God through Bible stories, games, science and crafts. Outdoor activities are part of the fun, with as many leaders as children! Yummy meals and snacks are part of each day.

Unlike the programs described above, a fee is charged for Camp . Watch for the next one!

For health and safety reasons, we require that a registration form is filled out for each camper.

Special Events

Throughout the year, we enjoy multi-generational events together. Messy Church is one such program but we also hold seasonal celebrations like our annual Advent Cookies and Carols event. A Christmas Pageant prepared by the children is a gift to the rest of us on the Sunday closest to Christmas.

Our Children Made a Difference in 2022-2023

For Teens

Hey! Are you a teen in grades 6-12 looking to connect with others?

UCiM has something for you!

Talking Teens

The Talking Teens meet two Sunday mornings and two Friday evenings each month. Fun activities and engaging conversation with our Youth Ministry Leader is where we begin.

The Travelling Youth Group

The Traveling Youth Group is the next level! Join us one Friday evening each month, when teens from different churches connect at one of their churches.

Province-wide Teen Retreats

Experience something new by attending one of our province-wide teen retreats! The ALF Retreat takes place “somewhere in Manitoba” in October and the ZEEBU Retreat in February. Make new friends and see the province, too! A Confirmation Retreat is also scheduled for those who wish to fulfill the promise of their baptism.
