Meadowood Seniors Club Trolley Tour

The Meadowood Seniors Club meets in the UCiM Auditorium on  Tuesdays 1-3pm. At least one Tuesday each month is a drop-in for Tea and a Chat. On other Tuesdays, guest presenters offer informational or entertainment sessions of interest to seniors. Occasionally the group schedules a tour of a landmark in the city. The St. Vital Art Group meets in the UCiM Auditorium on Wednesday mornings. It has approximately 30 members (membership is $50/yr) and a waiting list of others who would like to join. The group holds a Show and Sale at UCiM in April. If you would like to add your name to their waiting list, please contact the office.

Embers is a place for fun activities for 7 and 8 year olds and is a branch of Girl Guides of Canada. GGC is a safe, accepting environment with diverse and exciting programs. Embers provides opportunities for fun, exploring nature and gaining new skills. Embers meets at UCiM on Wednesday evenings.

Baby and Me is a non-traditional, non-judgemental drop-in program, offered by Youville Centre and subsidized by Healthy Child Manitoba. The drop-in, which takes place at UCiM on Wednesday afternoons, is open to women in the St. Vital area, along with a support person (partner, parent, friend, etc.). Auditorium set up with tables and more for the Quilters Group

The Quilters Group gathers every Thursday morning and afternoon to work on individual quilting projects. Occasionally, the group takes time on a Thursday to make items for local charities. The Quilter’s Group meets year round and there is an annual fee for members. Quilter’s weekend retreats, held twice per year, attract people from other communities, in addition to Winnipeg quilters..

Chair Yoga Drop-in offers a way to stay fit in a relaxed and fun environment. The class runs every Monday on the noon hour at a cost of $8 per class (you can also buy an 8 week punch card).
