The Meadowood Seniors Club encourages those over 55 to become active and involved in the community. We have a coordinator who organizes activities and special events that are of interest to seniors who meet at The United Church in Meadowood on Tuesdays between 1 – 3 pm. The United Church in Meadowood provides meeting space for the group, in exchange for goods given to the church to make life more comfortable for seniors of the club, the church and the community. It is not necessary to be a member of the church to come and enjoy the community of friendship and support, although you would be welcome to become involved in both. The Meadowood Seniors Club is a very active group. This group is currently funded by applying for federal grants through the New Horizons for Seniors so at present there are no membership fees.
The Meadowood Seniors Club meets at the United Church in Meadowood located at 1111 Dakota Street, which is fully accessible, has ample parking and lots of greenspace and gardens to enjoy in the summer months.
If learning, friendship, community and fun are what you are looking for, please join us and there is no cost.
